"Eranad Charitable Trust", a joint venture of Areekode, Oorngattiri and Keezhupparamp Service Cooperative Banks, came into existence in the month of December 2019. Perhaps the first joint venture of cooperative banks in Kerala, this trust was intended to play a major role in health care activities in our region. Absence of a dialysis center is a major problem faced by the kidney patients in this area, it has been decided to start a center called "Eranad Dialysis Sentahar" in Areekode Ugrapuram. Although Centur was initially intended to start with five dialysis machines, six machines were donated to the trust for this purpose. Expensive 'Ro Plant' generator, land required for a well, expenses for water supply, tiles, ACs, television sets etc. required for the Centenary and a vehicle required for the activities of the Center were made available as goodwill donations.
